Langlais Art Preserve

Protected by Georges River Land Trust since 2017, the Langlais Art Preserve is a 90-acre nature preserve in Cushing, Maine with a 10-acre art environment at its heart.

With a new Executive Director at the helm, the preserve required a new online presence to help promote the preserve. Together we created a logo identity and new website, highlighting a historic timeline of Bernard Langlais’ career.

Logo Design Process

The horse on the edge of the road at the Langlais Art Preserve is the most recognizable symbol to represent the organization. We started by tracing the shapes of the sculpture with good ol’ fashioned pencil and paper. Accuracy was important and this gave us the perfect proportions to work with.

Website design

This website design was elevated by the use of a professional photographer as well as historic photos to capture the homestead and work of the late Bernard Langlais. There was also an incredibly detailed historic timeline created to walk the website viewer through the life of this talented artist.
